Katie writes both fiction and nonfiction, short stories and essays, as well as the occasional song or poem. She has two novels and a children’s book in progress, as well as several essays submitted to journals for potential publication.
She has had two articles printed in the local newspaper as well as two poems published in an employee newsletter.
Her completion date for a Master's Degree in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University is July, 2016; her Bachelor’s Degree is in Justice Studies: Law and Legal Process. Her specialties are family, education, health and wellness, and legal, social, and environmental issues.
Katie has three daughters: 3 1/2 years old, 19 years old, and 21 years old, as well as an 11 month old grandson. She lives outside of Syracuse, NY, with her husband, children, two Chihuahuas, two cats, and a rabbit. She enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, hiking, road trips, and reading mysteries and historical fiction.
